Do I have to be funny to take a class/workshop?
Not even a little bit. Just bring an open mind and a desire to have fun - you'll find the funny takes care of itself.
But isn't improv all about being witty and clever?
It can certainly seem that way from the audience. Once you understand how improv actually works, you'll realize not everything is as it appears.
What kind of prior experience do I need?
For a Level 1 - Improv Fundamentals class, absolutely none. Zero. Zip.
What should I expect during class?
Expect to meet a lot of other people who are also nervous and excited. Expect to play a bunch of fun, silly games that focus on listening and paying attention. Expect to laugh a lot. (A whole lot.)
Here's what our students say about Improv Cincinnati classes.

What if I miss a session?
Not a problem, life happens. Students who miss more than two sessions may not be able to graduate or perform in the class showcase. This will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
What are the class expectations for students?
All the normal stuff. Please be on time and ready to learn. Be friendly to classmates, and don't be surprised if some of them become great friends. Reoccurring instances of lateness, distracting cell phone use, inappropriate comments/behavior may be result in a student being asked to leave. Follow the golden rule.
